Our People

Taking Care of Each Other

Amy’s is a family-owned, proudly independent organic food company. But we’re also so much more than that. We’re a company that’s uncompromisingly committed to living by our values. We’re a group of people that truly care about treating each other and the planet with kindness. And most of all, we’re a family passionate about cooking food that’s making a real difference for our consumers.

We take care of each other. Our People, our Food and our Planet have always been at the core of everything we do.

“The truth is that the happiness of people at Amy’s keeps me going. I love walking in our plants and learning about great ideas directly from our people. We know we aren’t perfect, but we know that we can accomplish so much together.”

Learn About Our Values

Our Workplace Commitments

Amy’s is uncompromisingly committed to living by our values. We’re a group of people who truly cares about treating each other and the planet with kindness. We’re a family passionate about cooking food that’s making a real difference for our consumers. We take care of each other. Our People, our Food and our Planet have always been at the core of everything we do. We treat everyone with compassion, respect and fairness – like they’re family.

As a proudly independent, family-owned organic food company, we value individual rights and freedoms. We respect our employees’ choices and their rights regarding union representation – whether yes or no. We believe someone’s freedom to say no should be just as respected as their right to say yes.

What To Know

Amy’s is proudly independent, and we value individual rights and freedoms.

We respect our employees’ choices and their rights regarding union representation – whether yes or no.

We believe someone’s freedom to say no should be just as respected as their right to say yes.

At this time, none of amy’s employee groups has chosen to be unionized, and we respect their personal choices.

Our Workplace Culture

Our people are the foundation that makes our success possible.

That’s why, working together with all our employees, we’ve built a company where everyone has the opportunity to grow, where we welcome new ideas, where collaboration rules the day.

We want to empower each of our employees to help make that difference every day – whether it be through the food we make for our consumers, the changes we make in our operations to help heal our planet or the way we engage with each other. If we miss the mark in some way, we will always make it right. At Amy’s, we’re always learning, ready to rise to the challenge and focused on progress, not perfection.

Given our long-standing values – and based on the evidence we’ve seen of unionization elsewhere – we are concerned about a union’s impact on our ongoing culture of compassion, respect, fairness, collaboration and personal empowerment that has always been so key to our success.

That’s why we continue to cherish our culture, our relationships and the journey we’re on together.

Safety Always

We continue to invest heavily in safety, wellbeing and opportunities for our employees – many of whom have been with us since our early days and are now leaders in the company – to uphold one of our founding principles, “taking care of each other.” This includes continually enlisting employees in this process and implementing their suggestions, whether from providing chairs on the lines where possible, to eliminating the repetitive lifting of soybeans, to eliminating the need for employees to stir food in the freezer.

With robust safety programs and free healthcare clinics for employees and their families, we’ve always focused on doing what’s right because it’s the right thing to do.

“Amy’s is among the most safety-conscious companies I have worked with, one that sets standards that go well beyond industry and regulatory requirements.”
