We Have Exciting News to Share: We’re Now Officially a B Corp!

Building upon our longtime commitment of doing well by doing good, we are so proud to share that we are now officially B Corp certified! This certification is awarded to companies that exemplify the highest standards of social and environmental performance and underscores our longtime commitment to doing well by doing good.

What is B Corp Certification?

B Corp certification is awarded to businesses that use profits and growth as a means to a greater end: Positive impact for their employees, communities and the environment. The B Corp community works toward reducing inequality, lower levels of poverty, a healthier environment, stronger communities and the creation of more high-quality jobs with dignity and purpose. You can identify a B Corp brand product by the official B Corp seal. 

There are more than 3,000 B Corps across the world, all working to make a difference through their businesses, and we are so proud to join them.

When Andy and Rachel founded Amy’s more than three decades ago, they committed to making quality food with sustainable, organic and vegetarian ingredients. This was not a marketing or sales strategy; it was what felt like the right thing to do. Over the past 33 years, we’ve learned that choosing to do what’s right for people and our planet – even when it’s not the easiest option – is what leads to success in business and in the positive impact we can make. 

From the start, we have been committed to cooking vegetarian meals with meticulously sourced organic ingredients and taking care of people. This dedication to making organic, high-quality meals more accessible and convenient for people, and sharing the inherent benefits of organic to people and the environment, along with our values-driven principles of taking care of employees and the community, are the basis for our B Corp Certification.

We remain committed to improving the wellbeing of people by making organic food even more widely available, improving the workplace and communities where we operate, and striving toward a more just and equitable future. We are also dedicated to decreasing waste and finding efficiencies in our production practices to lessen environmental impact and heal the planet. 

And, as we have from our start, we maintain our deep commitment to organic agriculture and vegetarian food and sharing the importance of these commitments with the world. 

What’s in store for the future?

As we look ahead, we are excited to collaborate with other B Corp companies to learn from each other and continue to evolve and improve. We’ll also share more about the B Corp community and other B Corps that you might be interested in supporting regularly.

B Corp certification is an exciting milestone for us, but it’s by no means the end. This is a benchmark that we’ll use to challenge ourselves and measure our progress toward improving the wellbeing of people and healing our planet for a long time to come.
