Amy’s mom, Rachel, has a dear friend, Carmel, who is of Korean heritage and suggested this popular dish to us. Bibimbap (which means "mixed rice") is a traditional Korean rice bowl with assorted vegetables and chili pepper sauce, enjoyed by mixing everything together. Amy’s version, created by Korean-American chef Kay Chun, starts with a bed of organic rice, barley and quinoa layered with tender carrots, spinach, shiitake mushrooms, crisp bean sprouts and our seasoned house-made tofu. Toasted sesame seeds and a traditional Korean gochujang sauce, made with red chili paste for a mild, peppery kick, top off the dish. We hope you enjoy this taste of Korea! Microwave Oven Do not remove overwrap. Cook on high for 4 minutes. Let sit 1 minute. Serve.
Conventional Oven Preheat oven to 375°F. Remove overwrap. Cover tray with foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil. Stir. Cover tray with foil. Bake for 10-15 more minutes. Let sit 1 minute. Serve.
Toaster Oven Remove overwrap and tray. Place in an oven-safe dish. Follow conventional oven directions.
