Light & Lean Mattar Paneer
Amy's parents have spent a lot of time in India, bringing back recipe ideas for the many fabulous Indian meals which Amy's Kitchen offers. Mattar Paneer is the most popular of these. Amy's mom, Rachel, who like so many of us keeps a close eye on her calorie intake, asked our chefs to create a version of this meal that was lower in fat and calories for our "Light & Lean" line. They did it and without sacrificing flavor or nutrition. Amy's Light & Lean Mattar Paneer is made with tender organic peas and Indian cheese in an authentic delicately spiced sauce, with basmati rice and a delightful blend of lentils and beans to round out the meal. This delicious dish has only 260 calories and tastes so good that we're sure it will appeal to all who appreciate fine Indian cooking.
