Amy’s Debuts a New Line of Cookies: Classic Shortbread with a Gluten-Free Twist
Santa Rosa, California - Amy's, the nation's top-selling brand of natural and organic convenience foods, is pleased to announce a new line of ready-to-eat classic Shortbread cookies, which are gluten-free and deliciously made with all natural, simple ingredients..
When Amy was a child, her grandmother would make shortbread cookies for her. Today, like many people, Amy doesn’t eat wheat, but she still loves shortbread cookies. The chefs at Amy’s have now created a delicious gluten-free shortbread cookie that everyone can enjoy.
For those diagnosed with a gluten intolerance or celiac disease, a cookie craving can be hard to satisfy. More than 2 million people in the United States have celiac disease, or about 1 in 133 people.1 In addition, approximately 40 million people have an interest in gluten free products and may have a wheat-related allergy, intolerance or sensitivity.2
Amy’s has always responded to consumer’s special dietary needs, and this line of cookies – the first shelf-stable baked good ever from the company - will satisfy anyone looking for an enjoyable cookie, perfect with a cup of tea as a snack, as a light dessert with fruit, or right out of the box!

Amy’s Gluten Free Shortbread Cookies
(MSRP $4.99/9 cookies per 5.4oz box)
Using an all-natural recipe inspired by Amy’s grandmother, these Shortbread cookies are available in three flavors: Classic Shortbread, Almond Shortbread, and Chocolate Chip Shortbread. Amy’s Shortbread cookies are made with organic almond flour instead of wheat flour, which makes them moist and delicious, with a rich, nutty flavor. All three varieties are gluten free, egg free, peanut free & GMO free. (They do contain tree nuts and milk.)
