We have been enjoying the products below for years. These are all local
companies who continue to make great products year after year. Many
of these products are available nationally or on the companies website.
We hope you enjoy these as much as our family does.
Arrowhead Mills Multigrain pancake mix
This has been our family’s favorite pancake
mix. It is easy to
prepare, tastes great, does not contain eggs.
Nayonaise
This is an egg-free mayonnaise that we use when making sandwiches. Even
people who do not generally like mayonnaise, often like this soy-based
version.
Annie’s dressings
Annies’ dressings are always on the table and we proudly serve
them when we have guests over. Our favorites include: Organic Goddess
Dressing and Organic Shikate & Sesame Vinaigrette
Natural brew ginger ale
This is one of our favorite soft drinks. It has a great ginger-y taste
and is always in our refrigerator.
Alvarado Street Bakery
(bread) This is our favorite bread. In
fact, it was the first bread we fed Amy when she was growing up. Not only
that, The Alvarado Bakery was where we first made our Vegetable Pot Pie.
These great breads are available nationwide and also on their website.
Lundberg Farms (Rice)
have been growing organic rice since the 1930’s.They are still
a family business with wonderful farms in Northern Sacramento. They are
committed to growing natural and organic rice and we are proud to consider
them friends.
Traditional Medicinals (Tea
) is a tea company that is so
dedicated to preserving world agriculture through the production of
high quality, pure medicinal and traditional teas. Organic Peppermint
is one of favorites. When Rachel was drank their pregnancy tea and
followed with the Mother's Milk tea when she was nursing Amy. She thinks
the Throat Coat always helps her when she has a sore throat. When she
is traveling by airplane, it keeps her feeling healthy. As does the
Echinacea Plus Herbal Tea. And, Easy
Now is a favorite stress-relieving
tea.
Straus Creamery (butter & yogurt) is
located on the coast of Marin County and is committed to using GMO-free,
organic feed for their dairy cows. In fact, they are the first company
to begin verification by the
Non-GMO project. As stewards of the environment, the Straus family
created MALT (The Marin Agricultural Land
Trust) to preserve agricultural farm-land north of San Francisco.
Their yogurt is phenomenal and on the rare occasion when we eat butter,
this is our favorite. At Amy’s, we use their 1% milk and their
butter.
Clover Stornetta
(cottage
cheese) is owned by the Benedetti family. They have been pioneers
in getting local farmers to turn organic and are huge philanthropists
in our own Sonoma County. Much of their milk comes from St. Anthony’s
Farm, a drug and alcohol recovery program that combines recovery with
a working organic dairy. Clover was an early supporter of Amy’s
and helped us get started. Amy’s purchases milk and butter
from Clover.
