It has arrived!

My Honda Civic Hybrid finally arrived at the dealership last week, which was all the way in Ukiah (the only dealership that was getting one in the right color in a reasonable time). So I drove out into the boonies to Ukiah to pick it up. I love it! So cute, and great gas mileage (50 mpg highway, 50 mpg city). It has GPS, and is surprisingly roomy inside. Good acceleration too, which I wasn’t expecting from a hybrid.
My favorite thing about it is that I can command it to do things outloud. I push a button and say, “radio on to AM 740″, and it does it! I can say, “Air conditioning on, off, up, or down,” and a gazillion other commands. The absolute best commands are the “find nearest gas station, restaraunt, atm, etc.” You can even say, “findest nearest shopping” (!) and the gps will find all the closest ones, and guide you there. My dad said he’s going to have the dealer to unprogram the shopping command so that I won’t bust the bank. I’m not worried though, I don’t need a GPS to find the closest mall.

It is always great to be excited and happy.
Drive carefully and try to always anticipate what the other drivers are about to do!

Hey Amy, it’s Mike.
Make sure that GPS can find some Arco’s. Anyone else reading this who have environmental concerns should make sure to buy from only BP related companies (BP, Amoco, Arco), as they are all as “green” as oil companies can be (and highest grade gasoline too). Citgo would be 2nd best (some profits go to Nicaraguan education and road funding) and Shell 3rd (somewhat green). Don’t buy Exxon-Mobil!

Very cool, we will need a little fleet of hybrids or all electric cars for the new G Living Studios. I haven’t seen the Honda Civic Hybrid yet in person, but it looks good in the photo. You should send us in a photo of you in the car, and we will post it to the main blog.
Also, thank you so much for the link.

HI AMY,
I AM GLAD THAT YOU HAVE THE new COOL CAR – NO PROBLEM FOR YOU BUT MY PROBLEM IS I CAN NO LONGER DRIVE DUE TO MY NO GOOD SIGHT. YOU HAVE TO DRIVE DEFENSIVELY. WATCH OUT FOR ;MANY CRAZY DRIVERS ON HIGHWAY 101. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU DRIVE AT NIGHT BECAUSE I USED TO DRIVE A LOT DURING DAY AND NIGHT FOR A LONG TIME and i knew about the crazy highways BEFORE MY DOCTOR ORDERED ME NOT TO DRIVE ANY MORE. NIGHT TRAFFIC IS WORSE THAN DAY TRAFFIC ACCORDING TO MY DRIVING EXPERINCE. MY DEAFNESS WAS GOOD AND IT DID HELP ME DEVELOPE GOOD COMMON SENSE TO DRIVE DEFENSIVELY. YOU SHOULD DO IT LIKE I DID.
OF COURSE, YOU CAN HAVE COOL FUN BEING YOUR SELF WHILE DRIVING YOUR COOL NEW CAR. please remember that you are very lucky to have your nice parents while many kids are not lucky. please be yourself and humble. why not you have fun during your college years. be a cool good girl,AMY DAVID FRANK FAN OF AMY’S PRODUCT.

Ok, I just found your website so was reading some of your blog. It can be interesting, however I am just wondering about something. At the very beginning you caution people to be nice and mind their manners when writing comments. Because…as you so rightly stated, children read this. Ok, why do you use the word Crap? (which, as we all know is just another word for Sh–, which we all know is not a very nice/clean word.) Then, under your summer heading you use the phrase “kickA–”….well, perhaps it would be well to review your comments at the top of the page. We all know that the word A– used to get our mouths washed out with soap, and just because it is common nowadays doesn’t mean it’s any cleaner than before.
Just a thought here, because after all, children DO read blogs.

Amy,
“Who can deny, who can deny, it’s not just a change of style.. One steps done and another begun..”
Put the lyrics of Robert C. Hunter on your reading list too!
The frost is on the bunch grass here at the Medford plant today and everything is groovy.
Gratefully,
Coil
